About Mr. Carter

30 years ago I started at Dogwood as a 1st grader.  It was also Dogwood’s first year.  Over the next eight years, I had some of the greatest educators ever to walk a school hall.  I am blessed to be able to give back to this incredible community a portion of what I have been given.

After Dogwood, I went to Germantown High School and then to Memphis State University on a band scholarship, graduating with a BS Ed in special education.

I met my wife, Katie, at Bellevue Baptist Church where we still attend.  We  have 2 children, Stephen and Will.  Stephen starts on the defensive line for the Bartlett High School football team and Will is in 3rd grade at Dogwood.
